Resolutions

Okay so it's about time.
1. Be this thin, again (photo shoot done Freshman year of college in fall 2004)

2. Get a new treadmill and USE it on days that the weather is too crappy to run outside (ice, dangerous heat, dangerous cold, lightning)

3. Put $25 away each paycheck for each of the girls' 529 plans, and $10 each paycheck into the vacation fund

4. Start getting more sleep. That, and eventually start sleeping in the bed. Now that Kennedy is sleeping longer it doesn't make any sense for me to continue sleeping on the couch. I have the BEST bed. <--Sleep Number 7000 (I used to work for Select Comfort)

5. Get on the President's List, again (4 times already! woot woot!)

6. Breastfeed Kennedy for at least 18 months

7. Figure out how to run trails w/ my Forerunner 405. I can kind of work it.

8. Dig the jogging stroller out of the garage and run with the girls...weather permitting

9. Spend more time on the important things, and quit wasting time.

10. Be a better employee. I'm really good at what I do, but I could always be better. I will get my FLMI (a LOMA) this year, and work on more leadership projects.

Lonely

So I didn't get a chance to post my resolutions. My baby got RSV and so we had to take her to the hospital, and I've been in and out of work because of it for the last two weeks. Ryan started 2nd shift this week, so I get to see him for 10 minutes in the morning before I leave for work, then during the day on Saturday before he goes to work then all day Sunday I see him. I never realized how much I would miss him being here with me. It really hits me when the girls are in bed, and the house is quiet. This is usually when Ryan and I sit together on the couch watching House, Damages, American Idol or The Biggest Loser. *sigh*
The belt keeps slipping on my dreadmill. I want to get a new one. The one I'm looking at is the Nordick Track Elite 7500. I won't be able to buy it for at least another 2 weeks or so because that's when my big paycheck comes in. I found it's virtually impossible to run on the treadmill upstairs now that Ryan is on 2nd shift because the only time is when the girls are in bed...and I just don't feel comfortable not being able to hear them downstairs. I'm going to try and run in the morning before Ryan gets up, so that'll be around 6am. We'll see how that goes.
Oh before I forget I found a really cool website!! Music-Map is a place where you can enter an artist, and it shows you a bunch of different artists that are similar sounding. I LOVE it!!! Especially since I have a new love affair with Iron & Wine!
Well, I'm off to bed. Goodnight!

Mind games

This is Kennedy the other day doing her exercises--tummy time!!! Why oh WHY can't I look that stinkin cute while being that chubby? lol!! LOVE her!!! She's going to be 16 weeks old on Tuesday. Where oh where does time go?
Tonight I was walking on the treadmill and things were going great. For the most part I kept looking straight ahead so that I wouldn't look down at the display to see the time. I looked at about 8 minutes, 16 minutes, and the last I looked was around 20 minutes. Sometime in-between 20 minutes and maybe 25 or more I accidentally hit the clear button with my hand. I was so mad at myself!!! So I just hopped off and I was done for the night. I had gone probably 25 minutes.
I used a lot of mental games while I was on. My feet hurt quite a bit, so I kept telling myself it didn't matter. I kept doubting myself. Thinking, what the hell am I doing? But then I remember I need to tell myself I AM a marathoner. I AM a runner. I CAN DO THIS! It seems so much easier to do now than it did a week ago.
I'm also noticing that walking across the parking lot into work and to my desk seems a lot easier! YAY!! Before I could feel that my muscles in my legs were really tight and I'd be a little short on breath, but not so much anymore! WOOT WOOT!
I need to do a few resolutions. I will probably blog about those tomorrow night or the next. I also need to get a new treadmill. The one I has is crappy, old, and the belt catches a lot. I'm worried about buying a treadmill I will hate after having spent so much money. I'd spend anywhere from 400-1,000 I'd say. Maybe I can find a new one in a swapsheet after someone has realized they're not going to stick to their New Year's resolutions and get it cheaper...hehe:)
Well, I gotta hop in the shower before Kennedy wakes up to nurse. 'Nite!
